Langford Medical Centre is now a Mixed Billing Practice. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to sustain 100% Bulk Billing as the amount set by the Government does not cover the costs of operating a General Practice, let alone providing a high-quality medical service. We are committed to maintaining and improving the quality of healthcare and we have had to take this step, to protect the sustainability of our practice. We cannot thank you enough for your ongoing support of our practice, in the past and into the future as we make this transition.
Mixed-billing means that those patients who do not hold a current Health Care Card or Pension Card will now pay a “gap payment” for medical services provided by our doctors. A gap payment is an out-of-pocket cost that is the difference between the practice’s private fee and the Medicare rebate. For these patients they will need to pay the full cost of the consultation and the Medicare rebate will be refunded directly to them.
Langford Medical Centre is a friendly, multi-cultural, Mixed Billing family practice conveniently located at 76 Langford Avenue, next door to Pharmacy 777. We offer both male and female doctors who specialise in general medicine as well as areas such as paediatrics, men’s health, women’s health, and mental health. In addition to speaking English, many of our doctors speak additional languages such as Malay, Mandarin, Chinese and Hindi.
We can provide a free on-site interpreter service with TIS National, please ask our reception staff when booking your appointment.
We accept online bookings 24/7 or call us on 9451 1377 Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm and Saturdays from 8am to 1pm.
We look forward to welcoming you to Langford Medical Centre soon!
